Trump Wins Big

Donald Trump gained – and Kamala Harris lost – with almost every major demographic in the US

  • Per data from AP Votecast, the AP’s post-election survey, Harris did not gain on Biden’s performance with a single major ethnic, education, age, or gender demographic

  • Harris performed 15 points worse with black Americans, 13 worse with Hispanics, 14 worse with women under 30, 8 points worse with non-college voters, and 1 worse with college voters

  • The only demographics that did not shift were women over 65, who stayed D+6 between 2020 and 2024, and white people, who remained R+12

Russia Plane Bomb Plot

Western authorities suspect Russia of plotting to send bombs on US-bound planes

  • This summer, two incendiary devices ignited at DHL facilities in the UK and Germany. This week, Western officials claimed that those devices were part of a plot by Russia to cause difficult-to-extinguish fires on US- and Canada-bound aircraft

  • Poland has made four arrests and Lithuania one related to the plot

  • The Kremlin dismissed the accusations as "muddled misinformation" and "unsubstantiated insinuations"

Dig Deeper

  • The plot is part of a larger Russian sabotage campaign across Europe, which officials say includes arson and attacks on pipelines, water supplies, and data cables in various European countries

  • Earlier this year, the US warned Germany that Russia was preparing to assassinate the CEO of arms manufacturer Rheinmetall

Election Night Shockers

In Wisconsin, a stunning age reversal took place. Exit polls show that Trump lost by double digits among voters age 65+ but won by double digits among voters age 18-24

  • Trump won Texas’ Starr County, which is 97% Hispanic, marking the first time in over a hundred years a Republican has won the county. Clinton won it by 60% in 2016

  • In the northeast, Trump drastically outperformed his 2020 numbers and nearly upset Harris in New Jersey. He made double-digit gains in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Maryland

  • New York was closer to going red than Texas was to going blue

Dig Deeper

  • Michigan's Dearborn, the only majority Arab-American city in the US, voted for Trump +7 over Harris. Their final vote tally: Trump 43%, Harris 36%, and Stein 18%. Jill Stein ran as a third-party candidate largely as a protest over the US’ Israel policy, which helped driver her support in Dearborn. Biden won Dearborn by 39 points in 2020

  • The Iowa poll that acclaimed Hawkeye State pollster Ann Selzer published this week proved to be a giant flop. Her poll, in collaboration with the Des Moines Register, showed Harris +3 in Iowa. Trump ended up carrying the state by +13.3

🧐 Yesterday’s question: What is your reaction to last night?

Honestly, if I hadn't been reading your posts and tuning into your podcast and YouTube channel, I'd be floored by how the race turned out! The media kept making it seem neck-and-neck, but I was braced for the red wave long before it hit, so thank you.

Elisha from West Chester, PA

Honestly, I am relieved. I have voted blue in every election up until this cycle, but the attempted censorship, massive amounts of tax payer dollars being spent overseas and housing/feeding/moving migrants, the wide open border, covid vaccine mandates, war funding, etc. in the last four years has been too much and is not what I voted for. It’s impossible to argue that the last four years were better than 2017-2020. I think I’m most excited to watch RFK Jr tear the big food industry apart and put our citizens health above the dollars these corporations crave. Sadly, the DNC is not the party it once was.

John from Orlando

My reaction is one of utter sadness and fear for the world’s future. The only bright spot is the fact that unlike Trump and his Republican Party, the Democrats play by the rules, so there will be an orderly transition without endless lies about interference and baseless lawsuits aimed at undermining the entire electoral process.

David, a US citizen living in Portugal

Regardless of who won, our household had fun watching it with the Roca crew! Very pleased I got to see the inaugural livestream of election coverage—you guys did great (and, yes, I wondered when bathroom breaks were being taken). My reaction to the results? It seems like Americans are tired of being gaslighted at every turn. Trump has flaws, but the one thing he always seems to be is himself (even when it’s to his detriment) and there’s something charismatic and attractive about that.

After hearing conversations with RFK Jr (months ago), DJT, and JDV on Rogan, I’m hopeful some common sense changes will be made. I’m sure I won’t be on board with everything, but I like that these three don’t seem to be part of the establishment (RFK Jr def not).

ROCA WRAP
Smog City

Lahore, Pakistan

This city has closed schools due to record-breaking air pollution.

Lahore – Pakistan's second-largest city with 14M residents – is the capital of Punjab province and has been a cultural and educational hub for centuries. Yet while once celebrated as the "City of Gardens,” rapid urbanization and population growth have transformed its environment dramatically.

On Sunday, the city recorded its highest-ever pollution reading, making it the world's most polluted city. Levels of PM 2.5 – tiny, potentially toxic particles – approached 450, far exceeding hazardous thresholds and forcing authorities to implement emergency measures.

Officials have ordered primary schools closed for a week and mandated 50% work-from-home policies. Additional restrictions include bans on outdoor barbecuing without filters, limited hours for wedding halls, and restrictions on motorized rickshaws. The government is also considering artificial rain to combat the pollution.

The toxic smog has caused tens of thousands of residents to fall ill since last month, particularly children and the elderly. Citizens have been urged to stay indoors, keep windows closed, and avoid unnecessary travel, as the city that once boasted of greenery and gardens grapples with the consequences of rapid development.

EDITOR’S NOTE
Final Thoughts

Thank you to all of you who wrote in to share your reaction to Tuesday night’s results. We’re still going through them. For those of you feeling anxious, hang in there. America is a resilient country filled with decent people. We will get through this. Also, we encourage you to turn off the legacy media. It’s poison. This might sound like a shameless plug to get you to spend more time on Roca, but it really is poison. And there’s nothing natural or healthy about consuming news around the clock — especially from sources whose models are designed to make you angry and scared.
